Your vehicles at a glance
Your registered plates, the reports you received and help nearby.
Step 1 — the vehicle
What’s happening?
It’s sent. If this vehicle is registered, its owner has just been notified.
A plate, a reason, done
No free text: a list of concrete situations, and a photo when you’re on the spot.

Broken down? Others answer
Flat tyre or dead battery: drivers around you get the alert.

Talk without knowing each other
No name, number or email exchanged. The conversation stays in Alerto.
Help goes both ways.
Breakdown, flat tyre, dead battery, a tow truck spotted on your street: raise an SOS or warn the drivers around you.
Nothing to stick on your car.
Your plate is already visible to everyone — it’s the only thing Alerto needs. And we never store it in the clear.
You register your plate
Two minutes, free. It is encrypted straight away — nobody, us included, can read it back.
Someone enters it
A driver walking past spots a problem with your vehicle, types your plate and picks what they see.
You get alerted
Notification, email, and a conversation opens — both sides stay anonymous.
You used to find out too late.
A tow truck takes your car while you’re having lunch. A passing driver enters your plate, you get the notification — and you have time to come down. An impound costs over €150 and half a day.
“A tow truck is heading for your car on Garibaldi Street.”
On your bumper: your plate. That’s it.
Couldn’t this be used to track me?
It’s the first risk of a service like this, and we dealt with it before writing a single product feature.
Your plate is never stored in the clear. A copy of our database would yield no readable registration.
No precise location. A report only keeps an area of roughly 150 metres — no journey can be reconstructed.
The reply is always identical. There is no way to learn whether a vehicle is registered, so no way to sweep through plates.
Reasons are a closed list, and most of them require a photo taken on the spot. Nobody writes you whatever they want.
Reports are capped per person, and you can block a sender for good.
Free.
No subscription, nothing to buy, no object to receive. Alerto only works if everyone can use it.
No card required
- Unlimited reports on your vehicles
- Geolocated SOS to nearby drivers
- Messaging that stays anonymous on both sides
- Encrypted plate, one-click account deletion
What you’re probably wondering
Never. They don’t know your name, number, email or address. They don’t even know whether the vehicle is registered — the confirmation message is identical either way. And you don’t know who they are either.
Your car, watched over by everyone else.
Alerto already runs in your browser. Register your plate, install the app, two minutes.
